Eligibility for Membership

​A prospective member of JLNS shall have an interest in voluntarism, a commitment to community service, and a desire to develop the skills and abilities that will better enable her to serve the community. ​ A prospective member shall be 21 years of age or older. There is no age limit. 


The Junior League of Napa-Sonoma uses only the above criteria for consideration of prospective members. Potential new members are required to attend an informational event, at least one general meeting, and one social or volunteer event before joining.​

New member class dues:

HELP BY DONATING TODAY

Meeting Requirements:

  • Attend a minimum of 4 out of 9 JLNS Monthly General Membership Meetings (held on the fourth Wednesday evening of each month) either in person or virtually

  • Attend New Member Informational Meeting & new member class(es)

  • Complete New Member community project


Community Service / Council Requirements:

  • Serve on a council and attend all council meetings (monthly - virtually or in person)

  • Participate in volunteering opportunities as scheduling allows

  • Fulfill any fundraising requirements voted on by the membership. These requirements usually include volunteering a certain number of hours at a fundraising event, participating in set-up or take down, and selling tickets, and/or collecting financial sponsorships​

  • ​Annual dues $140* (Please contact our Membership VP for annual dues information, as new member dues are prorated after January 1st as part of our rolling recruitment.) 

  • New Member Fee $60 - includes supplies, JL tshirt & nametag

  • Dues and fees will be collected at the mandatory New Member Retreat. They are non-refundable. Please contact membership@jlns.org for a membership application.
