The Junior League of Napa-Sonoma Announces its Holiday Home Tour and Winter Market to Benefit Local Children and Families The Junior League of Napa-Sonoma (JLNS) is pleased to announce its annual fundraiser, the 2009 Holiday Home Tour and Winter Market on Saturday, December 12 with a special Preview Night on Friday, December 11. This year’s Home Tour will again be held in Santa Rosa’s historic McDonald District. Each magnificent home will be cheerfully decorated for the season. Guests will be invited to stroll through the streets on foot or hop on Thunderstar Coaches while touring the homes and visiting with family and friends. The hospitality suite housed at nearby Becker Center at St. Eugene’s Cathedral ( 2323 Montgomery Drive, Santa Rosa) will offer sweet treats and warm beverages to be enjoyed by those on the tour. Gourmet boxed lunches and wine by the glass will also be available for purchase. Also in the hospitality suite is the Winter Market where local vendors and artisans will be selling a variety of quality merchandise. The public is also invited to visit the Winter Market on Saturday.The Junior League has partnered with Cokas Diko to host this year’s special Preview Night on Friday, December 11. Guests to this gala event will have an opportunity to enjoy the ambiance of the winter evening by being transported by Thunderstar Coaches and visiting the homes all aglow for the holidays. In addition to a private shopping evening at the Winter Market, guests to the special Preview Night will also enjoy heavy appetizers and cocktails while listening to live jazz. “This event is a celebration of our community.” said JLNS President Paula Pang. “It allows us to offer a fun atmosphere while raising both awareness and needed funding for the projects we support.” The Junior League of Napa-Sonoma is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. Tickets for the Saturday Home Tour are $45 per person, and for the Preview Night tickets are $100 per person or $150 per couple. Both events sold out last year so reserve your spot early.
