We are excited to announce that the Children's Museum of Sonoma County (CMOSC) will be offering Museum on the Go (MOG) training on September 15th, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the CMOSC. This valuable session will be led by Dan Levitis and Jose Villagomez.

The CMOSC describes the MOG program as follows:

"The Children's Museum's Museum-on-the-Go (MOG) program delivers playful, transformative experiences throughout Sonoma County, building connections within our community. MOG participates in family events to bring our unique programming to children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to visit our permanent Santa Rosa location."

By participating in this training, you will:

  1. Gain foundational knowledge of MOG's origins and the communities it serves
  2. Learn best practices for operating a successful MOG event
  3. Qualify for a 2-hour MOG shadowing session with Jose at an upcoming event, providing hands-on experience to operate with confidence

Your involvement in this essential program is crucial as it helps expand MOG's reach, positively impacting more children through STEAM development experiences who might not otherwise have such opportunities.

Important Notes:

  • CMOSC requires all MOG volunteers who wish to participate in more than one event to undergo a background check.
  • Training duration: 2 hours

If you have any questions regarding this training, please reach out to community@jlns.org
